Guitar Riot is Cleveland, Ohio's exclusive Nash dealer!

Bill Nash and company painstakingly build instruments that have the feel, look, and sound of classics from the 1950s and 60s. While every Nash Guitar is unique visually, they are very consistent for sonics and playability. Nash Guitars have period correct neck profiles that feel substantial in a player's hand and make for a very resonant instrument. They only use Nitrocellulose lacquer in every step of the finishing process and offer light, medium, and heavy aging levels standard. Extra Heavy relic is available for an up charge.  Nash Guitars are made for players that want a gig ready, premium playing guitar at a reasonable cost.

Nash Guitars PB-63 in aged natural with 4-ply tortoise pickguard. Classic combination of ash body and medium C profile maple Nash Nautilus neck with rosewood slab board. This revolutionary design will deliver:

Significantly Lower String Height/Action

Freedom from fret rattle

Increased Sustain and Resonance

Effortless, unlimited bends—without fretting out

At some point, it hit us: guitars and other fretted instruments have been relying on a fundamentally flawed system of fretboard and fret radii.  It’s functional, but far from optimal.  We found a better way.

A bit of background… Fret spacing is determined by the mathematical principle commonly called “The Rule of 18”—where each fret is 1/18th closer than the last.  We applied this principle to fretboard and Fret radii.  The result?  A radically progressive radius, where every fret is 1/18th flatter than the one before it.  This means that every position you place your fingers, the position one step above has built in clearance.  This clearance is normally achieved through neck relief and high action.  The Nautilus neck does this by the radical new design.  The outcome is game-changing.  Our patented Nautilus Neck design requires little to no neck relief.  Action can be set incredibly low, bending is easier and virtually unlimited thanks to mathematically optimized fret clearance.

A note to guitar techs and end users:

To accommodate different preferences, we ship the neck with a slightly higher nut and action than my preferred personal setup. This gives you a more balanced starting point, allowing room for minor adjustments to achieve your sweet spot.

On my own guitars I cut the nut very low and set the action with a slight fret rattle for optimal playability.

If we shipped them exactly as I like, those who like a higher nut will need to replace the nut. Some players keep the factory setup, enjoying the immediate improvement in playability.

Others fine-tune it further, setting the relief to dead straight and lowering the action. I encourage you to find what works best for you.
