The Limited '59 Precision Bass Special Relic, part of the 2023 Fender Custom Shop collection, features a Precision bass body with a thin, comfortable jazz bass neck, a combination Fender created in the early 1970s. In other words, it is the most functional hybrid that takes the best of both bases. The two-piece body is made from carefully selected ash, and the quarter-sawn maple neck has a '60s-style "U" profile.

Great combinations throughout, including a punchy Custom Shop hand-wound '57 Precision Bass middle pickup, a roaring hand-wound Vintage Jazz Bass bridge pickup, and a separate volume control for blending to your personal taste. This bass has a wonderfully aged natural blonde, chocolate 3 color sunburst, and aged black relic lacquer finish, with subtle cracks and dents and scratches in the spider finish from the bridge to the headstock. It gives it an authentic feel that looks like it has been played in clubs and bars for many years.
